Gallery - 2012

The first of OrigArti's products to be seen by the public. These were exhibited as part of Brighton Open Artist's House at the beginning of May.

This was a huge starting point, and the initial feedback was more than I could have expected!

My first 3D origami piece, a Chinese Dragon.

It took over 4 nights to construct and create this beast, but it was worth it!

I haven't made too many of these due to the amount of time taken, but rest assured there will be many more.

These little flower hair clips are a great accessory during the summer to add a bit of brightness and colour.

Check them out!

These butterfly hair clips are truly something special! Each one is made from unique and made from hand-painted washi paper.

Head over to my online shop, there are always a few of these on offer!

Origami lanterns made their first appearance at the Brunswick Craft Fair in October.

These are the most viewed items on my online shop and have been been commissioned for wedding receptions and an album launch party.

I love making these roses. They are so effective and look brilliant!

Each rose is made from folded fabric and I think these make up most of the items I sell. They are so beautiful, it's understandable why!

Kanzashi flowers, made from silk ribbon...

These were traditionally made for geisha's and extremely elaborate head dresses. These are quite possible one of the trickiest things I've tried to make... Only made four and not attempted any since. :)

I made a butterfly shirt to wear during the parade of Brighton Pride in September. It was probably the most ambitious item I'd made, and it really stood out!

I also made a lite version with butterflies made from black & white anime comic book pages.

The second 3D origami dragon I made and it was there was a clear improvement, adding colour and a more unique design, giving this creature a bit of character.

This dragon was made for a work colleague for Christmas, and given to him as a Secret Santa gift.

These Omega Stars were popular Christmas gifts to hang from the Christmas tree, or use as table ornaments.

I anticipate to make a lot of these in 2013 in all manner of materials and colours to suit any xmas needs.
